9th Annual Clarkdale Historic Home Tour & Bank Robbery Reenactment

About

Each year the Clarkdale Historical Society & Museum hosts an opportunity to step back in time to the days of company houses built by the United Verde Copper Company between 1913 and 1930. On April 21, 2018, several historic homes and buildings will be open for the 2018 Annual Historic Building & Home Tour. Tickets will be available online and on the day of the tour at the Clark Memorial Clubhouse. $20 per adult, $5 for children under 12. The last tour will depart at 3pm. Historic Reenactment of the Clarkdale Bank of Arizona Robbery Each year during the Historic Building & Home Tour, local actors present a reenactment of the bold robbery of the Bank of Arizona, which occured June 21, 1928. Arriving from Oklahoma & Nebraska, Willard Forrester and Earl Nelson attempted to rob the bank of the United Verde Copper Company payroll. Who really fired the fatal shot which brought the robbery to a climactic end? Famous lawman Jim Roberts or Bank Manager David Saunders?
